GPS and BLE Devices

Many companies offer indoor asset tracking, but with Rapid Trackr you can track your assets outside as well. Two technologies that provide outdoor tracking are cellular and GPS. Cellular grabs the address of the nearest cell tower to give a rough location approximation. GPS uses a network of satellites to detect locations on earth. Unlike traditional RTLS GPS and cellular asset trackers, Rapid Trackr sips rather than gulps power. You can even configure each device to provide updates more or less often to conserve battery life.

Bluetooth LE is an even more efficient form of Bluetooth because it conserves even more energy by going into sleep mode when not in use. This technology enables various wireless devices to connect and communicate with each other to deliver a specific message. Industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, and warehousing – have found great benefit from Bluetooth LE for tracking and monitoring their most critical assets via an asset management solution. Due to small data transfers, tags offer lower-power consumption, faster transmission speed, and accuracy, creating a positive impact on a company’s performance. One benefit is that batteries do not need frequent replacement. Companies can save on battery costs and labor costs.

Geofences

Geofencing in Rapid Trackr’s IoT GPS and BLE tracking solution offers a significant benefit by enabling real-time, automated location monitoring within predefined geographic boundaries. When assets equipped with Rapid Trackr’s GPS or BLE devices enter or leave a designated area, geofencing triggers instant alerts, allowing for immediate responses, such as theft prevention, operational oversight, or logistics optimization.

This enhances efficiency and security, reducing manual tracking efforts and providing actionable data for managing assets, vehicles, or personnel within specified zones. Geofencing also improves resource management by enabling more precise tracking and automation based on location-based rules.

Beacons and Network Devices

Enterprise-grade asset tracking and monitoring are never one size fits all, therefore, Rapid Trackr built Rapid Inside. Our solution is an enterprise grade Real-Time Location System (RTLS) that provides up to centimeter level accuracy by using a Bluetooth LE radio to support both Bluetooth LE and phase ranging with a flexible architecture.

Internal Networks

Internal Network technology provides up to 30 centimeters of accuracy, using high frequencies to communicate with devices to determine location.
